Reused Materials in a London Townhouse Designed by Retrouvius
The title already tells you, but looking at the pictures you wouldn’t believe this home is located in central London. It looks like a perfect country home.
The townhouse in Notting Hill is designed by Retrouvius who are masters in designing spaces with reused materials (last year another London home designed by them was posted on the blog, you can see it here).
In the home you’ll find baked earth, eroded stone, oxidised metal and handmade textiles that all contribute to a sense of rootedness in nature.
We’re looking more at sustainability when designing a home. And this London home is the perfect example of what a beautiful home you can create using reused materials.
The kitchen cabinets are made of 18th century floorboards from Vienna.
The bed nook is made of reclaimed cheese boards.
