Ryan Murphy’s Warm Wooden Home in New York City

We all know Ryan Murphy for creating several tv-shows but he and his husband also have a great sense of interior style. While his work life became bigger and more colorful, he craved more simplicity in his home life.

They found this home in New York City and together with designer David Cafiero did they make it their own. In this home you see hints of Scandinavia (their children are half Swedish) with large simplistic furniture and delicate pottery.

And there’s a large collection of art from artist that were taken too soon like Robert Mapplethorpe, Hugh Steers and David Wojnarowicz. It’s a stunning and more importantly a very warm home. A quite surprising look for a New York City townhouse.
