A Serene Family Home in London
On a cobbled street in the Kentish Town Conservation Area in London, stands this family home. The home has recently been renovated and is now a stylish and serene family home.
The renovation work was done by architecture firm McLaren Excell. New skylights have been added to the living space that has no windows. This way natural light can filter into the room. One of the skylights can also be fully opened.
To create a harmonious look, loads of built in furniture was added like shelves, a bench and cabinets. The living area isn’t very large and built-in furniture definitely helps with that.
The ground floor living area with the sitting space at the back, a kitchen in the middle and a little family area at the front of the house.
Built in shelves and light wooden flooring give the living space a calm look.
The kitchen has a contasting look with concrete countertops and warm walnut cabinets. A kitchen has been extended with a concrete and walnut bench for a harmonious look.
On the first floor are 2 bedrooms with an interconnecting bathroom. This soft blue bedroom has built in wardrobes.
The second floor has an additional 2 bedrooms, both with an en-suite bathroom.
