A Social Scandinavian Apartment with a Light Blue Living Room
The generous living space and open floorplan create a social atmosphere in this Scandinavian apartment. The two-bedroom home is located in Stockholm and is decorated in a wonderful light color palette, with a striped surprise in the bedroom.
The apartment’s continuous floor plan provides a nice line of sight via two pairs of slatted double doors, and the wooden floor extends through all rooms without thresholds or interruptions creating a harmonious feeling.
The recently renovated kitchen and dining room are the heart of the home. This grand space is ideal for long dinner parties with friends and family. The glass double doors between the rooms ensures that every room in the house is light and creates a sense of more space.
The kitchen was renovated in 2018; the kitchen furniture comes from Ballingslöv, and the handles and knobs are from Buster+Punsch. the light gray cabinets are paired with white composite stone worktops.
Light is important in this apartment. To ensure the kitchen also gets natural light, a window is placed in the wall separating the kitchen and the nursery.
The living room is located in the center of the home with double glass doors to the kitchen/dining room and the master bedroom.
The walls in the living room are painted in a lovely light blue shade called ‘Blåstång’ by Alcro.
The entire home is painted in calm color tones, but in the bedroom, the owners opted for something bolder. The walls are adorned with a black and white striped wallpaper that is a real eye catcher.
The spacious bedroom has a four-metre-wide wardrobe and the niche next to it is now home to a stylish, minimalistic home office with a glass desk.
The small room next to the kitchen is now a nursery, decorated in light and neutral color tones.
The hallway is painted in ‘Flinta’ by Alcro.
