This One Floats is a former 1960s Belgian Spitz cargo barge that has been redesigned by its current owners into a design-forward family house with three bedrooms. The owners conducted a complete structural and aesthetic renovation to create a 30-metre-long floating home with characterful interior design, state-of-the-art materials, and an abundance of glazing.

The houseboat is moored in Penton Hook Marina, on one of the most picturesque stretches of the River Thames. For years, you could rent this houseboat on Airbnb, but the owners have now decided to sell the modern home to a new owner.

What you mostly notice in this houseboat is how spacious it is. With a 1,621 sq ft / 150 sq m floorplan, you can easily accommodate a family, and unlike other houseboats, the rooms don’t feel low, dark, or cramped.

The lower deck is home to the open-plan living room with oversized portholes that offer an amazing view of the River Thames. The large windows and skylight flood this room with light.
