The Colorful Eclectic London Home of Designer Matilda Goad
British designer Matilda Goad and her partner Tom were looking for a home in London were they could put down their roots ánd a property were they could play around with the layout of the home. After a two year renovation the home is now complete and it’s fabulous. The home is perfectly eclectic, where sometimes you get that typical old fashioned British home feel, at other times it’s like standing in a French home or an American home. Walking into Matilda’s home you instantly see her love for color.
The kitchen has sage green cabinets combined with red & white tiles (which feels very Southern Europe/Moroccan). and soft pink walls. Opposite the kitchen is a large breakfast/dining area fitted into the bay window, the bench is designed by her husband’s company Blockhouse Build. The colorful living area has amazing skywindow to bring in natural light and is decorated in a combination of vintage furnishings and a large red shelving unit designed by Matilda. Upstairs the bedroom is more calm in terms of color but it does had yellow & white striped curtains to give it a little color pop.
I get so happy looking at unique homes like this one of Matilda Goad. The combination of colors and styles give it such a personal and fun look.
