Green Color Accents in a Beautiful Historic Apartment
An apartment in Stockholm that was built in 1929 has recently undergone a full renovation using carefully selected materials and muted color tones. The 98 square meter apartment has a lovely layout with a large living space with an open kitchen and two bedrooms.
The home still features period details such as beautiful wall moldings, ornate joinery, large windows, ceiling rosettes, and wonderful interior doors. The herringbone parquet floor is combined with solid pine planks and beautiful marble.Â
The home is decorated with subtle green accents, from green armchairs to green bathroom tiles and wardrobes. Green is such a wonderful color to use as a color accent. It’s natural, calm, and comforting.
The living room is a comfortable space with a large sofa decorated with plenty of pillows and a large green rug.
The focal point of the living room is the beautiful built-in floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. A room filled with books is always a great room.
The living space is now one big room with a seating area, a social kitchen, and a dining area.
The kitchen is a wonderful space with light gray cabinets and marble worktops. In the corner, they created a small pantry with glass doors that have been decorated with a piece of colorful fabric.
The master bedroom features a warm wooden floor, pink walls, and blue color accents.
On one side, built-in wardrobes with wooden doors have been added.
The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with green tiles and a freestanding clawfoot bath.
The second bedroom is divided into two areas, making it great as a guest room or a children’s room. The back part now houses the bed; in the front room, you can add a play area or study space.
They also added floor-to-ceiling cabinets with doors in a subtle green shade in the hallway.
The apartment is now for sale at Svenska Mäklarhuset
