Valspar Color of the Year 2026: Warm Eucalyptus
We continue to look forward to 2026, when we will reveal another color of the year. This time, it is Valspar that has chosen its color of the year 2026, and they have picked Warm Eucalyptus, an earthy and elegant green shade.
Warm Eucalyptus is a modern take on green and is considered a “new neutral” that feels both timeless and fresh. Naturally serene and effortlessly versatile, Warm Eucalyptus is designed to bring balance and beauty to any space, whether indoors or out.

“In the coming year, we will redefine our notion of neutral hues. Going beyond the classified color term, neutral refers to colors that set a grounding and inviting mood with the warmth that calms our senses,” says Sue Kim, Valspar’s Director of Color Marketing

With the growing emphasis on mindful living, Warm Eucalyptus reflects a cultural shift toward slowing down and appreciating life’s quieter moments. It’s a color that’s easy on the eyes and soothing to the soul, which is something many people are craving in their homes today.

As living spaces continue to evolve into multifunctional environments, serving as homes, offices, and gathering spots all at once, colors like Warm Eucalyptus help create a sense of harmony. It’s a shade that blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living, making it the perfect choice for modern, nature-inspired design.

How To Style Valspar’s Warm Eucalyptus
Designers and homeowners alike are embracing this soft green for its flexibility. It pairs beautifully with natural materials and textures, from handcrafted ceramics and light woods to bio-based decor and sandy finishes. For a touch of warmth and sophistication, gilded gold accents are a perfect complement.

To create a cohesive look, Valspar’s 2026 color palette introduces two coordinating shades: Subtle Degas Blue, a calming blue-gray infused with a hint of green, adding cool balance, and Groundbreaking, a rich, deep brown with gray undertones that brings an earthy depth.
Together with Warm Eucalyptus, these hues evoke the natural world, from the soil beneath our feet to the open sky above.

Create an all-natural look with green walls and light wooden kitchen cabinets, like in this Swedish apartment.

The color is also an excellent choice for kitchen cabinets, as you can see in this cottage-style home.

Pair it with ochre yellow to create a warm, natural interior.

Add a softness to the space by pairing Warm Eucalyptus with dusty pink, like in this green and pink London home.

The built-in bookshelves in influencer Kate Spiers’ former home are painted in a shade similar to Warm Eucalyptus, which she paired with an ochre yellow sofa.

Go for an all-natural look by pairing it with plants and natural materials like wicker and rattan.

Interior designer Heidi Caillier painted the kitchen cabinets in her Washington home in a similar shade. She paired it with polished brass fittings, warm terracotta floor tiles, and white paneling.
