A Spacious Country Kitchen with Huge Skylight
Are you ready for more deVOL Kitchens inspiration? This beautiful English countryside kitchen appeared in my mailbox and it was love at first sight.
If you think you can’t mix and match different kitchen cabinet styles then this kitchen will prove you wrong. The owners of this countryside kitchen used a mix of deVOL Shaker and Haberdasher cabinets and it looks amazing.
While the kitchen is extremely beautiful, it must take a minute to address the main hero of this kitchen space and that is the huge skylight above the kitchen island. Even tough there are lplenty of windows overlooking the garden, this skylight adds so much more natural light to this open plan kitchen space plus it’s a wonderful architectural feature.
The owners added Shaker cupboards on either side of the AGA stove. The cabinets are painted in deVOL’s Bakehouse Green (you can see another kitchen painted in this color right here).
A large rustic dining table sits in front of the windows overlooking the garden. A country kitchen is not complete without a beautiful wooden table.
For the kitchen island they used cabinets from the deVOL Haberdasher range. The island is made of standard and bespoke pieces with oak tambour doors on one side, that hide the dishwasher and bins. And on the other side glazed cabinets.
The AGA stove was re-enamelled to match the Bakehouse Green kitchen cabinets.
On either side of the stove they added glass Haberdasher upper cabinets. The arabescato marble they used for the worktops and backsplash adds a luxurious touch to the kitchen.
On this side the kitchen island has glazed cabinets and a breakfast bar.
A wooden floor with wide planks add a warm touch to the room. On the right you can also see a seating area, this kitchen is truly the heart of the home.
deVOL also created a mudroom for the family with a bench with hooks on one side and closet cabinets on the other side. The bench also has hidden storage.
The boot room is painted in a light neutral shade called “Mushroom”.
