Pearl Lowe’s New deVOL Kitchen and Bathroom in her Portobello Home
Pearl Lowe has again teamed up with deVOL Kitchens for a new kitchen and bathroom in her new Portobello home. In the trendy area of Notting Hill, London, Pearl and her husband Danny have bought a pastel-colored terrace house with period features like high ceilings, cornice, wide polished floorboards, and ceiling roses.
For this historic house, they needed a kitchen that is beautiful, relaxed, and not too kitcheny as it stands in the main living space of the house. Pearl Lowe’s interior style shines through in this kitchen and bathroom. They are delicate, stylish, filled with vintage trinkets and romantic textiles.

Pearle chose the deVOL Classic English cabinets for this kitchen paired with the Dairy Table and Bentwood Café Stools.
Pearl opted for a classic color combination of pink and green paired with a pastel blue Lacanche cooker. The rustic black wooden floorboards add a nice lived-in feeling, and the intricate cornicing and ceiling rose add a classic historical element to the space.
The pale green cabinets are paired with brass fittings and a green marble countertop. A trend I have noticed lately is a mirror backsplash. Pearl also added mirror tiles that form the backsplash of the kitchen, which is shiny yet delicate.
What I have noticed in previous projects by Pearl Lowe (you can find links to previous projects at the end of this article) is that she loves to play with subtle textiles. There is a beautiful lacy curtain in front of the window and under the sink. And the glass cupboards are also lined with sheer curtains.
Another lace curtain in front of an open cupboard. The baby blue cooker pairs beautifully with the other pastel tones, and the shelf is perfect for displaying vintage pieces.
Moving on to the bathroom where Pearl also added a furniture piece by deVOL Kitchens. deVOL offers more than just kitchen cabinets, they also design and sell furniture, lamps, tiles, wallpapers, and more.
Pearl’s bathroom features the Victorian Washstand in the color Printer’s Black with a marble top and aged brass pillar taps.
The bathroom is lined with pink and white Iris Skinny Metro Tiles from Bert and May.
