A Vintage Bohemian Country House in Sweden
I asked in my newsletter last week, what you would like to see more of on the blog. On thing that came up was more eclectic/maximalist house tours. Now this home isn’t wildly eclectic or maximalist, but it’s certainly not your standard Scandinavian home with clean lines and modern design.
This country house in Sweden is charming and warm, with vintage bohemian rooms, a lovely country kitchen, and wonderful outdoor spaces.
The home is located only 45 minutes from Sweden’s capital city Stockholm. But it feels a million miles away, the house is surrounded by nature and the perfect country cottage.
The house is decorated in a light color scheme but it’s looks very cozy with layered textiles, antique pieces, and plants.
The kitchen has loads of character with beautiful rustic wooden beams, a traditional Swedish fireplace, and warm wooden floors.
The cottage only has two bedrooms, but the landing can be used as a second sitting room. The wallpaper is “Stairway to Heaven” by Sanderson.
The cozy second bedroom has sand colored wall colors and antique furnishings. One wall is decorated with Nina Campbell’s “Birdcage” wallpaper.
At the front of the house is a large veranda which has been decorated in a lovely bohemian vibe.
The garden includes a greenhouse (which is quite common in Sweden) and these are often also used as a garden seating spot.
