An Elegant & Colorful London House
On Arodene Road in London stands this Victorian terrace house. The home was built in 1900 and you will find several period elements in the house.
The current owners – an interior designer and a craftsman – have extended and carefully redesigned the house into a colorful and elegant family home.
The home is a blend of period features like decorative cornicing, ornamental door surrounds and restored and replayed fireplaces. Together with contemporary features like a marble-topped kitchen.
I love that we’re seeing so much color in interior design lately. And this Victorian home is no different. Especially the sitting room is a colorful affair. The room is divided into two areas. One side is painted pink, while the other side is painted green.
The main bedroom has subtle pink walls and contrasting to that a raw brick fireplace.
The Edwardian inspired bathroom has wood panelling painted in Little Greene Lamp-Black.
The sink is made of an early 19th-century console table with Carrara marble top. The shower is also tiled with Carrara marble.
The top floor bedroom has big Velux windows, a raw brick wall, and an en-suite bathroom.
The hallway had original Minton floor tiles.
