Warm Colors and Texture In A North London Family Home
Have you noticed that we see more and more colorful interiors? I’m absolutely loving this trend of warm and colorful homes and today I have another home tour for you that’s packed with warm color tones. This Arts and Crafts family home in North London has been designed by Tiffany Duggan who’s quickly becoming one of my favourite interior designers and this home will show you why. Let’s start the tour!
Pink & Purple
The sitting room on the ground floor sets the tone for this beautiful London home. The walls are painted in a warm marsala color hue (Brinjal by Farrow & Ball) while the ceilings has been painted in a lighter pink shade called Rouge II by Paint and Paper Library (a smart design feature, because this makes the ceiling appear higher). The warm color shades are combined with cooler tones like green and blue in the armchairs.
A pink kitchen
More pink can be found in the kitchen with pink kitchen cabinets that are combined with upper cabinets made of warm wood and ribbed glass for extra texture. More color is added in the kitchen with the terrazzo floor tiles and blue velvet bench in the breakfast nook.
Pink and blue bedrooms
Upstairs in the bedrooms we will find more color but in softer shades. The master bedroom has pale blue walls combined with a pink velvet bed and mustard yellow chairs. The wardrobe has rattan doors to bring more texture to the space.
And of course this Arts and Crafts home also has a beautiful clawfoot bath that is (yes indeed) painted pink. I absolutely adore this homes, the color combinations, the warm textures and historic feel of the home. It’s simply beautiful!
