Best of 2025: Bathrooms

In the last week of the year, it is time to look back at the finest interiors and outdoor spaces published on The Nordroom in 2025. Today, I will share the best bathrooms of 2025.

This year, The Nordroom has posted a record number of home tours, design news, and home styling articles. In this Best of 2025 series, I will share the finest rooms, gardens, and architecture of the past year.

This year’s bathrooms have been better than ever, from colorful designs with pink ceilings, colorful shower curtains, and bold wallpapers to classic spaces with marble tilework, clawfoot baths, and wood paneling.

The bathroom in a midcentury Swedish apartment is small but perfectly designed with green tiles on the floor and beige tiles, placed vertically to accentuate the high ceilings, on the walls. The ceiling is also painted in a vibrant pink shade.

The London home of artist Natasha Mann is decorated with Moroccan-inspired designs. The family bathroom features a stunning hand-painted ceiling paired with dark green tiles. While the powder room is decorated with a William Morris x Ben Pentreath wallpaper, and sanitaryware from the London Basin Company.

The main bathroom in a Georgian villa apartment is decorated with the yellow ‘Squiggle’ wallpaper by Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler, paired with tongue-and-groove paneling painted in ‘Bancha’ by Farrow & Ball. A beautiful antique glass cabinet stores toiletries.

Pearl Lowe teamed up with deVOL again for a new kitchen and bathroom in her Portobello home. The bathroom features deVOL’s the Victorian Washstand in the color Printer’s Black with a marble top and aged brass pillar taps.

This year, House of Hackney paid tribute to William Morris’ legacy with a new Autumn/Winter collection, including these two bathrooms with Morris patterns.

The bathroom in a house designed by Martin Brudnizki is elegant and classic with a pink roll-top bath, a double sink, a shower with a built-in seat, Arabescato and Siena marble flooring, and brass fittings by Drummonds.

This bathroom in a Stockholm apartment was renovated last year, featuring a combination of pink Italian tiles and black-and-white British asymmetrical tiles on the floor, along with brass fittings.

The bathroom in a renovated 1940s apartment in Stockholm pairs light beige tiles (Hueso from Kakelspecialisten) with handmade concrete slabs in Marrakech design, and a custom-designed vanity with rounded wooden doors.

This bathroom in a Swedish duplex pairs neutral tones with bold color pops. The walls are fully tiled in white, and the floor is covered with Italian design tiles in white and gray. This is paired with a wonderful purple shower curtain and orange decor.

The Modern House

Two pink and green bathrooms. The first bathroom, located in Martin Burdnizki’s countryside apartment, pairs ruddy pink paint, glazed marine-green tiles, and Fornisetti wallpaper.

The second bathroom in a Victorian house pairs light pink walls with glossy green tiles and a marble-clad shower.

This small bathroom in a top-floor London apartment is stylish and well-designed. A custom-built vanity unit offers plenty of storage and is painted in a similar shade to the kitchen cabinets. This pink hue is paired with teal shower tiles and an industrial-style shower wall.

This bathroom in a 1890s Stockholm apartment makes the most of its modest space. The moody space is fitted with dark blue vertical tiles and blue cabinets, offering plenty of storage. The room has a classic look thanks to the brass fittings, Victorian-style floor, and marble sink top.

A walk-in shower is finished with encaustic Otto tiles, and the striped floorboards are painted in mustard and white.

These three colorful bathrooms can all be found in a grand Victorian villa in Manchester. I love how the owners combined colors and patterns, creating three unique bathroom spaces.

Classic, indulgent, and beautifully executed, this bathroom in a restored Victorian house looks like it has been lifted from a boutique hotel. Marble checkerboard flooring sets a refined foundation for the clawfoot tub, while antique brass fittings add a quiet shimmer.

This bathroom in a Stockholm apartment has been carefully renovated in a style that fits the apartment’s building period. The floor is covered with burgundy and white tiles from Winckelmans, while the walls are tiled to chest height with ivory white tiles from Sekelskifte.
